I have to say that overall I felt Christmas presents were very much appreciated and well received this year, despite my couple of Christmas fails. Tate and Cory each got a Wii game they had hoped for. All three littles loved their $1 pair of gloves. ;) Mallie got a Rapunzel plush doll that actually made her SQUEAL in absolute delight. And a dear young friend of mine, Jenn, even surprised me on Christmas Eve with a Pirates of the Caribbean 4 Blackbeard toy figurine. :) Everyone had at least one present that seemed to make their eyes light up. That was what I was hoping for.
Perhaps the most magical part of Christmas 2012 for me though was my wonderful little boy Wade's enthusiasm for Santa Claus. Wade WROTE A NOTE to Santa, asking him / Santa to sign the note if he was really real. :) Could we pull off a bit of Christmas magic?
I had somehow convinced Wade that Santa didn't make house calls before midnight. Therefore, I thought it safe when shortly after midnight I filled up the stockings. Shortly after that, Wade snuck out of bed and ventured downstairs with his note to Santa in his hand. He said he was going to leave it on top of his stocking for Santa to find.
Imagine his rather dreadful surprise to find the stockings had already been filled, and my horror at finding out that he meant to leave the note for Santa on top of his stocking. OH BOY! Post 1
